January Newsletter
I hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas. I wanted to thank all of you for the wonderful Christmas gifts! What a blessing they were! Thanks again.
Themes for the month:
Mittens, Snowmen, Winter, Penguins, Polar Bears and Ice/Frost
Letters for the month:
M, N, O and P
We will continue to work on numbers 1-10 and will introduce a few new shapes like octagon and crescent. As always, we will continue to review colors.
In January, I tend to start preparing the class for the 3 year old program. We will be teaching them the correct way to hold their pencils when writing and will start working on basic writing skills to prepare them for writing their name. Feel free to work with them at home, if you’d like. Please let me know if you think your child is left handed. I have noticed that a few of the children tend to favor their left hand when writing.
Important dates:
Monday Jan. 16th Preschool closed (MLK holiday)
Monday Jan. 23rd and Tuesday 24th No preschool Lincoln County teacher workdays
***Please be sure and update me if your child’s potty status changes. If your child needs to be taken to the potty, then I definitely need to know.
I hope that we will have a great rest of the year.
Ms. Pam and Ms. Anita
